The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) offers Bihar NEET UG Counseling to applicants for admission to medical programs in the state of Bihar.Participants in the online counseling process must meet the eligibility requirements and have passed the NEET exam in order to be eligible to participate.
To be eligible to participate in Bihar, a candidate must go to the official website of the Conducting Authority at https://www.bceceboard.bihar.gov.in/ and complete an online application. For NEET Counseling only, the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test will be utilized. The counseling process will be open to those who meet the NEET qualifying requirements.
On the other hand, Bihar NEET UG Counseling will be conducted offline. Admission to 85% of the State Quota Seats in MBBS and BDS Courses Offered by Institutes in this State will be via Bihar, while counseling for the remaining 15% of seats will be handled by MCC under the ALL INDIA QUOTA Seat.
There are approximately 20 MBBS colleges and 6 BDS colleges in Bihar.

To be eligible for Bihar NEET UG Counselling, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Nationality and Residency:
The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
The candidate or their parents should have been permanent residents of Bihar for at least 20 years.
2. Domicile:
Candidates should be permanent residents of Bihar.
Exceptions are made for candidates whose parents are:
Refugees in Bihar.
Working for the Government of Bihar.
Employed in transferable jobs in Bihar or Jharkhand.
Employees of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) of the Government of India in Bihar.
Working with the United Nations and posted in Bihar.
3. Age Requirement:
Candidates must be at least 17 years old.
4. Educational Qualifications:
Must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
Minimum aggregate marks required in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology):
General Category: 50%
SC/ST/OBC Categories: 40%
Physically Handicapped (PH) Category: 45%
5. NEET Qualification:
Candidates must have qualified for the NEET UG examination with the minimum required percentile as specified by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
To participate in the Bihar NEET UG Counselling, candidates are required to present the following documents during the verification process:
NEET UG Admit Card: The original admit card issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
NEET UG Scorecard: The official scorecard displaying the candidate's NEET UG results.
Class 10 (Matriculation) Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate: Documents verifying the candidate's date of birth and completion of secondary education.
Class 12 (Intermediate) Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate: Certificates confirming the candidate's completion of higher secondary education with the required subjects.
Residential Certificate: Proof of the candidate's permanent residency in Bihar.
Caste Certificate (if applicable): For candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, etc.
EWS Certificate (if applicable): For candidates applying under the Economically Weaker Sections quota.
PwD Certificate (if applicable): For candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities quota.
Aadhaar Card: As a valid photo identity proof.
Passport-sized Photographs: Six recent passport-sized photographs identical to the one used in the NEET UG 2025 application form.
UGMAC Application Form: A printout of the online filled application form (Part A & Part B) of the Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC).
Choice Slip: A hard copy or printout of the choice slip produced during the choice-filling process.
Provisional Allotment Order: A printout of the provisional allotment order (three copies) received after seat allotment.
Check Slip: Two copies of the check slip along with one copy of the downloaded Biometric Identification Report Form.

Step 1: Registration:
Step 1 A: Registering Online
Visit the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.
Click on "UGMAC" (Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling).
New User Registration: Click on the registration link and provide necessary details such as NEET roll number, application number, name, date of birth, and other required information.
Create Login Credentials: After submitting the initial details, you'll receive a verification code or OTP on your registered mobile number. Use this to set up your login credentials.
Step 1 B: Upload Documents
The following documents will need to be pulled up for upload:
Current Color Image Featuring White Background (20kb–50kb)
Signature in Blue/Black Ink on White Paper (10kb–20kb)
Additional pertinent documents (such as category and qualification certificates) in one
PDF file (no more than 500 KB in size).
Step 1 C: Examine the Uploaded Images
View the uploaded images after uploading.
Make sure the proper spaces allow a clear view of your photo and signature.
You can use the same process to re-upload the images if they are not satisfactory.
Verify that the photo and signature spaces are not interchanged.
Step 1 D: Final Submission and Declaration
Examine Every Field Completed.
Check the "Declaration" checkbox if all the information is correct.
On the "Final Submit" button, click.
An application/registration number will be generated upon submission.
The application number and password will be sent to you via email and SMS. Save These for Later Use.
Step 1 E: Paying the Application Fee
To pay the fee, click the provided link.
Pay a non-refundable registration fee for all categories.
Fees can be paid online via Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.

Step 2:Verification of Documents:
The nodal center officials will verify all the submitted documents.
If any document is missing or incorrect, candidates will be given a deadline to correct the issue.
Step 3: Publication of Merit list:
Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board releases a state merit list based on NEET UG scores.
Only candidates listed in the merit list are eligible for counselling.
Step 4: Filling and Locking choices:
Login: Visit the official bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.
Click on the “Candidate Login” section.
Enter your NEET UG Roll Number, Password, and Security Code to log in.
Click on the "Choice Filling" option from the dashboard.
A list of all available MBBS & BDS colleges will be displayed.
Select colleges based on your preference by clicking the “+” (Add) button next to each college.
The selected colleges will move to “Your Preferences” list.
You can add multiple colleges and change the order of preferences.
After finalizing the list, click on the “Lock Choices” button.
Once locked, choices cannot be changed for that counselling round.
Enter your OTP (sent to the registered mobile number) to confirm choice locking.
Download and print the Choice Locking Receipt for future reference.
Important Notes:
If a candidate does not lock choices, the system will automatically save the last entered preferences.
Once locked, choices cannot be edited or rearranged.
Make sure to lock choices before the deadline mentioned in the counselling schedule.
Step 5: Allotment of Seats:
After choice filling, the system processes seat allotment based on the following factors: NEET UG Rank – Higher-ranked candidates get priority.
Category & Reservation – Seats are allotted based on SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD quotas.
Local/Non-local Status – follows 85% state quota for local candidates & 15% unreserved quota.
Seat Availability – If the first-choice seat is not available, the system considers the next preference.
If a seat is allotted, candidates must download the provisional seat allotment letter from the portal.
This letter is required for reporting to the allotted college.
If a candidate wants a better seat, they can participate in the next round of counselling.
Candidates who did not get a seat in Round 1 can continue in the next rounds without re-registering.
If allotted a seat in Round 2, the candidate must accept it, or their security deposit will be forfeited.
If seats remain vacant after multiple rounds, Mop-Up Round is conducted.
Unfilled NRI/Management Quota seats are allotted in the Stray Vacancy Round.
Candidates must register separately for these rounds.
Step 6: Reporting and Document Verification (After Acceptance of Seat)
Log in to the NEET UG counselling portal (bceceboard.bihar.gov.in)
Download and print the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter
Carry multiple copies of the allotment letter for submission at the college
Some colleges may conduct a Medical Fitness Test.
Candidates must pass this test to confirm their admission.
Once document verification is successful, the college issues an admission confirmation receipt.
The candidate is officially enrolled in the course.
Candidates must attend the orientation and start classes as per the academic schedule.
Failure to report on time will result in seat cancellation.
Keep multiple copies of all original & scanned documents for future use.
Candidates can upgrade seats in the next round if they wish.
